It is the perfect spot to discover the city in a comfortable and authentic setting.
The space
Welcome to this magnificent, newly renovated apartment located in the heart of the historic center on Rue Damiette—one of the city's most iconic and lively streets. Nestled within a secure, gated residence, this cozy retreat blends old-world charm with modern comfort to ensure an unforgettable stay.
Situated on the top floor (third level) under the eaves, the apartment charms you the moment you arrive with its warm atmosphere. Its unique layout gives it real character: upon entering, a few steps lead you directly to the main living area, where all the living spaces are conveniently arranged on a single level.
You will discover a beautiful, light-filled living area featuring a view of the Church of Saint-Maclou—a true local heritage gem—right from the lounge.
The modern, fully equipped open-plan kitchen is designed to make you feel right at home. You will find a Nespresso machine, an oven, a refrigerator, and all the necessary tableware and utensils to prepare meals with ease. The dining area, featuring a welcoming table, is perfect for sharing breakfast or dinner after a day of sightseeing. The comfortable and inviting lounge includes a TV and a relaxing space to unwind.
A small hallway leads to a separate toilet and the bedroom. The bedroom features a comfortable double bed, inviting you to rest in a quiet, soothing setting. Adjoining the bedroom is an elegant open-style shower room—featuring a spacious shower and a sink—that completes the sleeping area with a contemporary touch.
Whether you are visiting for a weekend getaway, a vacation, or a business trip, this apartment offers a comfortable, stylish, and authentic setting in the heart of one of the city's most sought-after neighborhoods. The property does not have private parking, but you can park at the Town Hall (Hôtel de Ville) car park located just a few meters away.
The accommodation is managed by the concierge service "L’ArchiDuchesse," reachable 7 days a week from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. To finalize your booking and receive access codes for the property, a credit card pre-authorization will be requested via a secure link. If you wish to extend your stay slightly, a flat fee of €10 applies for early check-in or late check-out, subject to availability and prior agreement from our team.

Getting around
In addition to its central location, the neighborhood is well-served by public transport, including buses and the Rouen metro.
The Rouen Rive Droite train station is about a 15-minute walk or a short bus ride away. Regular train services connect to Paris Saint-Lazare (approx. 1 hour 15 minutes), Le Havre, Deauville, and Caen.
The "Palais de Justice" station, located about a 10-minute walk away, provides access to the metro (tramway) line running north-south through the city. It stops at: Boulingrin (Right Bank), Saint-Sever, Le Grand-Quevilly, Petit-Quevilly, Sotteville-lès-Rouen, and the Technopôle du Madrillet.
Numerous bus lines run through or near the Saint-Maclou neighborhood. The "République" station is served by several lines—notably the 11, F1, and F7 (high-frequency routes)—covering a large part of the Rouen metropolitan area. These lines make it easy to reach outlying neighborhoods or specific tourist attractions.
The "Cathédrale" station is served by several TEOR lines (T1, T2, T3), which cross the city center from west to east and stop nearby. A key advantage of the TEOR lines is their high frequency and use of dedicated lanes, allowing them to bypass traffic congestion.
Public transport generally operates until midnight, Monday through Saturday.

Other things to note
Please note that the accommodation is located on the third floor of a historic building with no elevator, and there is an additional flight of stairs inside to reach the living areas. While this unique layout adds to the property's charm, it may not be suitable for individuals with reduced mobility. All rooms within the apartment itself are on a single level.
Self check-in is available for added flexibility. Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and check-out must be completed by 11:00 AM.
The property is managed by the concierge service "l'ArchiDuchesse," available 7 days a week (from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM). Guests are provided with bed linen, basic essentials for the first day (shampoo, shower gel, hand wash, toilet paper, etc.), and one large towel per person, along with kitchen towels and a bath mat for each bathroom. A welcome kit containing kitchen and bathroom trash bags, a sponge, and dish soap is provided free of charge upon arrival for the duration of your stay.

Mid-stay cleaning, fresh linen or towels, restocking of essentials, or deliveries can be arranged upon request for an additional fee.
